Amaravathi River Near Kolumam Temple

The Amaravati River originates in the Anaimalai Hills of the Western Ghats in Tamil Nadu. It flows through the districts of Udumalpet, Dharapuram, and Karur, among others, before joining the Kaveri River near Karur. The river is an important water source for irrigation and agriculture in the region.

Kozhumam is situated in Tirupur District, Tamilnadu . It was once ruled by king called Kumanan. Its situated at the river banks of Amaravathi. Shiva and vishnu temple more than 500 years are in Kozumam.Statue of lingam in one of the temple was brought from Kaasi, before 1000 years.
