Sarkarpathy Power House is erected in the Parambikulam River of Sarkarpathy in the Coimbatore
district Anai malai taluk of Tamil Nadu.
The power project is commissioned in 1966. It has an approved and installed capacity of 30 MW.
Parambikulam and Thunakadavu Reservoirs are the main reservoir for the power house.
The power house is owned by Tamil Nadu State Electricity Board under the management of Tamil
Nadu Government.
The type of turbine used in the power house is Vertical Francis. The maker of both Turbine and
Generator of the power plant is by the Hitachi Ltd of Japan.
The power generated from the power house is distributed to the houses of people living around the
district of Coimbatore
