Mahathma Gandhi Ashram was started in the year 1968 by Mr. M.Ranganathan, M.A. B.L. for
supporting the children who are not fortunate enough to get parental support.
It is located at the pristine hills of Anamalai near Pollachi in the Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu.
About 50 to 60 children between the age group of 4 to 13 years in the Ashram.
The Ashram’s primary goal is to provide good education, a sustainable place to stay and healthy food.
The Ashram is run through donations from a few patrons. They are not funded by the Government or
any foreign institutions.
